the petite tabby's glassy amber optics shot about the scenery, drifting from left to right over the colourful decorations. the young attorney's dainty fours tingled and twitched with excitement thankful the cold season before was coming to a quick end. Bethan longed to feel the sunlight warm on her back once more.

well, the place most certainly had the potential. but it definitely needed a lot of work. the young attorney's nose was scrunched in thought as her green - flecked stare searched around the area with a thoughtful look. yep. lots of work. regardless, a few helping paws would get the job done remarkably faster. "I'ma gonna help, too. I hope you don't mind." Beth insisted with a considerate, yet almost awkward grin. with high expectations, the young feline decided to work on pulling out a few eyesores that layered the ground. weeds.

the bell made a pleasant jingle as the door swung open, revealing the stacks of toys claiming the majority of the store's area right before her eyes. wow. the attorney was practically speechless, the scenery and strong scent of vanilla and smoke was almost too overwhelming. this place was practically a fantasy come true. or was, right before Horrorzo opened that foul mouth of his. cuss after cuss, Beth cringed and cringed again. he surely wasn't a pleasant feline. pursing her lips and shooting a glare towards the tom - cat as she passed, Beth began to wander around the store.

there's nothing like a good ol' bonfire on a chilly spring's night. the weather was almost perfect, or so the little attorney believed.
situated on the western beach was a pile of dried wood, sticks, and braches -- stacked as high as a mountain. not literally, though. of course. it had taken a day or two to find such an amount of wood for such an event, but the tears shed were going to be totally worth it in the end. beth had the intention to bring all of The Court together to further strengthen the group's relationships and bonds. as the sun fell behind the horizon, she lit the base of the wood stack and the flames quickly began to climb. the orange glow could be seen from a mile away.

    alrighty. now. let's get started.
so, my charrie Beth is an attorney [shp] of The Court. she's npc xx npc, adopted by the Valdis family [an hpr family.] She is currently ten months old.
Beth is closed to anything harmful, such as: capture, r*pe, kill, etc.
    so yeah, plot away! c:

"thanks!" beth responded with a pleasant smile. her feather-like white whiskers quivered and twitched in excitement as the warmth of the bonfire's glow struck her sandy brown coat. "I worked hard on it, you have absolutely no idea how many splinters I got stuck in my paws." a gentle, amused laugh escaped the feline's lips, tipping her head to one side as her watch surveyed the large flame.

after a moment spent wandering the toy shop, something finally caught the young cat's eye. a stuffed, fuzzy brown bear with black jewel-like eyes. now, beth knew bears were no laughing matter -- but this one was... adorable. maybe it was the way it had it's arms spread wide, as if the thing expected a hug? or was it those beady eyes? beth couldn't quite put her paw on what made her want the furry thing so badly, but she was going to buy it anyway. grasping the teddy-bear firmly between her forepaws, she grinned happily. "How much is this thing here?" the attorney questioned.

the attorney watched from a little distance away, her head tipped to one side. 'how interesting!' Bethan thought in a rather quirky attitude. the young cat's paws were practically itching with curiosity as her stare surveyed the Lady of the Empiria and her guardian, as if they were a precious jewel.

A shy, crooked grin formed the young cat's lips when her attention was turned to Eco. "There's only a few, no more than three in there." The attorney commented, lifting her somewhat sore paw carefully off of the sandy shore to study the spinsters for herself. "It really doesn't hurt that bad." Beth added, tipping her head to one side. Her ears flickered happily to see more felines arriving.

"a murder, obviously." a voice muttered.
the attorney seemed to have eased into the crowd swiftly and quietly. when her amber stare came across the lifeless form, the victim of such an act, her legs seemed to stiffen in place. beth appeared rather cool and collected as she surveyed the crime scene from where she stood, the sight of blood made her stomach turn and twist. "Did... did anyone see it happen?" she posed the question, her brow furrowed in a slight frown.

beth was too surprised to protest against the officiant novice, after all, she could have probably pulled out the pesky splinters herself. she nodded several times, "a-alright?" she stammered slightly as she spoke, her left brow raised as she watched Eco hurry off to fetch some medicine.

"I'll play!" that tabby exclaimed with a grin. she scampered over to join, practically brimming with excitement -- like Littlefinger, this was one of Beth's favourite games to play. the attorney couldn't wait to begin.

"aw... such a pity. some sleep would've helped cure that grumpy attitude of yours." bethan rolled her eyes sarcastically with an exasperated sigh. they had a murder on their hands, and ol' Horrorzo here was complaining about loss of sleep? the attorney shook her head, muttering words to herself.

"whoa, no touchy!" the tabby exclaimed when she caught a glimpse of the golem reaching a hand towards the hot flame of the fire. "fire is too hot to touch, you'll burn yourself if you get too close." beth added, a calming tone in her voice as she spoke.

"sure thing," Bethan replied, handing out the payment required of silver to the store's owner. "he'll make a great companion, he's so cuddly!" the young attorney purred, a childish smile tugging at the corners of her mouth as she hugged the bear tight to her chest with her other free paw.
